This morning while doing my ritual blog reading while working my way through several cups of coffee I was reading about visual journals over on the inaminuteago blog and then I spent a good amount of time being inspired by the work over on the fabricartjournals blog that Arlee organized. So after injesting all that eye candy and caffeine I decided to take that piece of denim and silk sari fabric that I showed in my last post and turn it into an art journal.
I filled the inside with some nice heavy watercolor paper that I randomly added color to using my watercolor crayons.
I even put a little pocket on the inside to hold some pencils. I had a lot of fun putting this together and I've already started thinking about making another one. ..

Wonderful journals!

Wow, this is so cool! Have been away from the computer for most of the weekend, so it looks like I have some catching up to do. The art journal is such a great idea and I especially like your.

You did a fantastic job Sue! I wanna know how you constructed it. Did you use something to stiffen the cover? Are those buttons holding the pages in?

I am planning to do journals as my art memes next week. I doubt I will go to the extent you did but making journals is a great way to do all kinds of fun embellishments.
