I've been working on some new journals over the last few days.
The insides are embellished with some little journal note cards:
as well as some little pockets for tucking notes and things into:
Each journal has three signatures of varying sizes and some of the signatures have fold out pages:
And I put in some extra journal cards inside each inside flap pocket:
I've decided to give one of these journals away here on my blog. If you'd like to get in on the draw just leave me a comment on this post and tell me which one you want to win between now and Saturday and I'll put your name into the drawing. I'll announce the winner on Sunday.
After you leave your comment, go check out my friend Sandy's new blog and welcome her to blogland. And don't forget to visit Virginia Speigels website to Subscribe to Art, Nature, Creativity, Life and get automaticallyentered in drawings for some very special bonuses. Fibre&Stitch is one of the drawings for December and we're giving away one issue a week with a grand draw of a 4 issue subscription for you to keep or to give as a gift! More details on that here too.
These journals are beautiful. Wish I'd seen them in time to get in on the drawing but I will wait VERY impatiently for a tutorial.
GREAT stuff in your blog but the journals are easily my favorite.

Great journals! I am keeping a journal in an old notebook and it is almost finished. I started doing it as morning pages to spark my creativity. I lost my dad suddenly on November 10th and now my journal has become so much more: a place to remember, to grieve, to laugh, to cry, and to celebrate my dad's life. I started a "Dad List" of all the small memories I have of him, like his passion for his Clydesdale horses. I would like to receive one of your journals (red was dad's colour), Sue, to continue my journey without my dad. Thanks for reading this, Donna www.fibreartstudios.com

Found this very creative blog from another forum. The member was showing her padfolios, so I researched and found this blog. Although blue is my favorite color, they are all pretty. Hope you're feeling better. Sewers do not like getting sick, because it is not on their schedule. Did you get the flu shot?

Wonderful color combinations, it's hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'd have to go with the dark blue.

Those are gorgeous journals! I'd like to win the dark red one.
(I hope this doesn't end up being a double post; I ended up with an error screen the first time I tried.)

As to the journals, they're all wonderful and I'd be tickled to win any of them, and would cherish it. My favorite is the one in the bottom left.

These are really great, Sue. I'd love any one of them. I like the blue and black one with Chinese figures and the turquoise one. Any chance of doing a tutorial on making these like the one you have on padfolios? I really like that tutorial and plan to make a padfolio some time soon.
