I finished two more of the journals. This first one has a sewing theme and I used some more of the fabrics that I bought from Wendy Richardson when I was in Houston.
This was a piece of nice weight muslin fabric that was printed with instructions for making log cabin blocks along with pre-printed foundations that the sewer could cut out and use. Once overdyed it was transformed into a nice piece of art cloth perfect for this project.
The inside of this journal has three signatures and each is wrapped with a piece of velvet paper:
Some of the pages have been embellished and have flip out pages
And some of the pages have printed images on parchment paper...
I love this next image...
I also created pockets using some old pattern instructions sheets and added some note sheets...
This next one has an art nouveau type theme...
Three signatures on the inside...
Embellished pages throughout each signature...
and each signature has a pocket on the back flap along with some journal note sheets and some coordinating journal tags...
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

i love the art nouveau themed one the pattern on the fabric is just to die for lol

I am amazed at your ideas and different ways that you recycle fabric. I love the log cabin instructions. Do you have instructions for making your basic journals? Are they in the Fiber and Stitch on line magazine? Donna

Hi Sue!
24 hours is maximum in a day (and night) for me - how many hours do you have??? The journals are lovely.

I really like that log cabin one and also am very impressed by Wendy's gallery. I quilt but am more of a traditional quilter, however an off-center or fractured log cabin currently appeals to me.
