In one of the lessons in the Creative Book Making class we'll be experimenting with different ways to create patterns along the spine of the books so I've been working on a few samples for that lesson...
This first sample is a hard cover book made with shibori dyed silk.
The spine has been beaded and there are 5 signatures inside:
This next one has 3 signatures inside:
The outside of this book is covered with Lokta leather paper and the inside is filled with banana paper.

WOW!!! Beautiful new books. The beaded spine is my favorite. Terri did a wonderful job on your new website and is a super friend to have. Kudos to Terri! All of your work Sue is museum quality and you are a true artist. Thank you for your continued inspiration.

Both of these books are fantastic. The top one is my favorite though, I think because of the colors.
