A new vase

It's amazing what you can do with a little tissue paper and some interfacing.

Vase
I wish I could get a better photo of this.  There are so many shades of copper and bronze it in and there's just a touch of turquoise here and there.   This is a pretty sturdy vase and it stands 12" high.

My Journal Making for the Fiber Artist class is underway and we're having a lot of fun!  There's still time to sign up if you want to join us.  Registration for this class will officially close on Friday of this week.

Coffee and a freebie!

Remember the coffee pot prototype I showed you in the last post?  Well here's the actual product:
Coffeepot
13" high with wooden beads on the wire wrapped handle and wooden beads for feet.  It's hollow on the inside and the top comes off so you could fill it with something - do they make coffee scented potpourri?

The fabric on the outside of the pot is muslin that I dyed with coffee.  I actually dyed up a bunch yesterday:

And there's nothing like a whole day in the studio by myself to put me in a give away kinda mood so if you'd like a piece of this fabric I'm going to give away 3 fat quarter sized pieces.  Just leave me a comment by Sunday and I'll draw three names on Monday morning.  Last time I did a give away I got 70 comments.  Maybe we can get to 80 this time?  If we do I'll give away 4 pieces :)
