It's been a difficult week in our house with the unexpected death of one of my cocker spaniels over the labor day weekend. It's a very sad time for all of us in the Bleiweiss household but my other dogs and I are doing our best to adjust. In an effort to keep myself busy and distracted I've been spending a lot of time in the studio the last couple of days making notebooks. I started out making a stack of smaller ones:
These are a nice handy size measuring about 5 1/2" square x 1". I'll use these as gifts and give ways in my online classes. And once I felt that I had enough practice making this style of book in this size I moved onto a larger size:
These measure 6" x 8 1/2" x 1" closed and are filled with either lined paper or graph paper. I put these in my etsy shop here.
The Creative Mixed Media Journaling Techniques class starts tomorrow. There's plenty of time to register and registration will stay open through next Friday. Only a couple more weeks left until my new More Journal Making for the Fiber Artist class starts. Can't wait to see what fabulous journals that the students in this class will create! Visit www.twocreativestudios.com to check out all the classes that Terri and I are offering!
Sorry to hear about your dog, I'm sure it is a great loss. I wish you the best.

Oh Sue, I'm so sorry about your puppy. It leaves such a big hole in your life when they're gone, because each "being" in your home adds so much love and energy to it. Know that you're in my thoughts.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of one of your babies. I know how much you adore all of them. The studio is always great therapy.
Did you have a great time at the vintage show with Summerset? I thought about you two while I was away!

Hi Sue, I know exactly what you are going through. I lost my beloved schnauzer, Oskar a week ago on Monday. I was just devastated as was my husband. It took my three days to stop crying. It helped me to read Loss of your Pet by Wallace Sife. It is not unusual to feel profound loss. Another fibre artist from Kalamazoo sent me a book that brightened my day called All Dogs Go To Heaven. Thank goodness for online friends. We are looking forward to our new pet, from Oskar's breeder at Christmas time. So sorry for your loss, Sue. I'll be thinking of you and hoping you feel better soon, your friend Donna

So very sorry to hear of your loss. They leave a huge hole when they go, don't they. Turning to the studio is a great way to cope. I really like the small square notebooks - seems like a very handy size!

My condolences on the loss of your dog. They are like on of the family, aren't they? I recently lost a Yorkie and I know how difficult it is. The notebooks are gorgeous and keeping busy is a help. Best wishes!

I'm also sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. It is very sad when we lose one of our pets - they are such a part of our families. Especially hard when it's unexpected, although we're never ready.
Your notebooks are lovely, as always.

So very sorry to hear about your loss, Sue. Our pets are like family members and losing one of them is a real heartache. Keeping busy is great therapy (and the notebooks are beautiful), but time is really the greatest healer.
My condolences, thoughts and good wishes,
